French heritage of winemaking continues in Stellenbosch

We were delighted to be featured in The Herald recently, in a piece by wine writer Sam Venter that traces the full arc of the Glenelly story, from the farm’s origins in 1682 to Madame May-Eliane de Lencquesaing’s decision, at 78, to buy a rundown fruit farm in Stellenbosch and begin again.

Venter works through the current range, from the Glass Collection to the Estate Reserve, before closing with the Lady May 2020: drinking beautifully now, with intensity, complexity, polished tannins and a long finish, built to improve gracefully with time.
